Save to GIF

Saving images in GIF format allows the following settings:

Number of colors - changes the number of colors of an image. The number of colors may vary from 2 to 256 colors.

Interlaced - allows to create interlaced image so that the image would look nicer when loaded (e.g. via Internet). When this option is ON, the image is loaded by rows and is gradually sharpened.

Dithering - dithering was developed to increase the apparent color resolution of a display without reducing the spatial resolution. 

Quantization level - quantization of color images is necessary if the display on which a specific image is presented works with less colors than the original image.

Notes

Make selected color transparent - this option allows to make selected color of an image transparent. If it is ON, the following options become available:

Color of pixels - if this switch is set to ON, the user can select the color (which will then become tansparent) by specifying the position of a point in the image (horizontal position in pixels and vertical position in pixels).

Selected transparent color - sets transparent color with the help of Color dialog box.

Change transparentce to color - if this flag is checked the transparent color will be changed to any color specified with the help of Color dialog box.
