Universal Document Converter Overview
|
 |
Thank you for choosing Universal Document Converter.
Universal Document Converter allows you to "convert" any document
(created in program with printing support) into a graphic file in popular
format. Thus you can transfer file from one computer to another or send by
e-mail and open it with simple graphics viewer. The main advantage is that you
can open a document without the program in which it was created. Universal
Document Converter is managed by Windows as an ordinary printer. It saves
into BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PCX, DCX graphic files formats.
All Universal Document Converter settings are treated as printer properties.
Universal Document Converter has a wide choice of user's settings. Besides these
settings can be saved into a profile and this profile can be invoked any time.
Profile usage allows to switch between settings in no time.
Printer properties contain two sections:
- work with profiles - profile selection, saving a profile and
working with profiles;
- settings of the current profile.
Settings of the current profile section has three tabs:
- Page Setup - adjusts page size and position and number of DPI.
Besides this tab contains the Crop Margins flag allowing to save hard drive
space by trimming blank margins of the image when printed with the help of
UDC.
- Advanced - chooses an output image format. Besides there is a
possibility to adjust the output image quality. The settings are presented
depending on the format chosen.
- Finish - selects a path to save the images, creates an algorithm
for generating an image name, sets an application to view the printed
image. Besides this tab contains an example of the file name with a
corresponding icon and description of the application used.
